The adult version fully explains the four spiritual Styles: Word, Emotion, Symbol and Action. Every organization has a tendency to privilege one or two of these Styles and neglect the others. In an environment that fails to include one or more of the four preferences, those who express themselves in one of the excluded Styles may feel as though they don’t belong or that something is wrong with them, and children are particularly at risk of feeling excluded.
This assessment is meant to be a tool that will help you create an inclusive environment in which children feel a sense of belonging. This assessment is not meant to label children, but to help you understand them and plan events that affirm all four Styles.
